Consumer Health Data Policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026
Perdura stores information about your body and your training. Some laws, such as Washington's My Health My Data Act, call that "consumer health data" and ask for a policy of its own. This is it. It applies to everyone who uses Perdura, wherever they live. The rest of what we do with personal data is in the Privacy Policy.
What health data we collect, and why
- Body weight and body composition (weight, body fat and similar figures): to draw your weight trend and work out your targets.
- Measurements and body scans (tape measurements, scan results): to show how your body changes.
- Nutrition logs (calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat you enter per day): to compare what you eat with your targets.
- Workouts (exercises, sets, weights, repetitions): to tell you what to do next time.
- Setup stats (goal, sex, age, height, weight, body fat, training days): to build your plan. They are kept while you finish setup. The plan keeps only values worked out from them.
- Your plan and targets worked out from the above: to show you what to aim for, and whether targets are set for you at all.
We do not collect the answers to the setup health questions. They stay on your device and only decide whether Perdura sets calorie targets for you.
Where it comes from
Only from you: what you type or choose in the app. Signing in with Google gives us your email address, name and picture, which are not health data. We do not buy health data or get it from anyone else.
Your consent
We collect and use your health data only after you agree, before setup, in a box of its own that is not part of the terms. That consent covers what you enter and how we use it to run your plan. Sharing with the people you choose (below) happens only when you grant it, and you can end it at any time.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that store and serve it for us, only to run Perdura and only on our instructions: Neon (our database) and Vercel (hosting). They are not allowed to use it for anything else.
- People you choose. If you grant someone read-only access from Your data, they can see your data and download a copy while they have access. You can revoke access at any time.
- Nobody else. Google (sign-in) and Polar (payments) receive no consumer health data. We have no affiliates. We do not sell health data, use it for advertising, or track your location.
We may disclose it if a law or a valid legal order requires it, and we tell you when we are allowed to.
Your rights
- Confirm and access. Ask whether we collect your health data and get a copy, with the list of companies we share it with (above). Your data, Export, gives you what you logged at once (weights, measurements, scans, workouts, nutrition). For the rest, such as your plan and settings, write to us and we send it.
- Withdraw your consent. Tell us at support@perdura.fit and we stop. Because Perdura cannot work without this data, withdrawing means deleting your account.
- Delete. Settings → Account, Delete account, removes everything from our database at once. Our database provider's short backup history clears within 7 days (today 6 hours), well inside the six months the law allows. Deleting removes it from Neon, where it is stored. Vercel keeps no copy, and Polar and Google never receive it. Copies that someone you shared with already downloaded are outside our control.
To use a right in another way, email support@perdura.fit from your account address. We answer without delay and within 30 days. If we need longer we tell you why, and never take more than 60 days.
If we say no: appeal
If we refuse a request, reply to our answer with the word "Appeal" and tell us why. We answer within 45 days and explain the outcome. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Washington Attorney General at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint, or to the authority where you live.
Keeping it safe
Access to health data is limited to you, the people you grant access to, and the person who runs Perdura when needed to run and support the service. Connections are encrypted and every request is checked so people only reach their own data.
Changes
If we start collecting a new kind of health data or using it in a new way, we ask for your consent first. The date at the top shows the latest change.
